Promoting Gender Equality
& Breaking Down Barriers

At Culinary for Social Change, we believe that every woman deserves the opportunity to achieve her full potential. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to empower underprivileged and unskilled women by providing them with the skills and resources they need to succeed in the culinary arts and food industry. Our program is designed to offer comprehensive training in all aspects of the culinary arts, from cooking techniques to food safety, nutrition, and business management. We believe in a holistic approach that not only teaches unskilled women the skills they need to succeed but also provides them with a supportive network and access to resources.

Client Feedback

I strongly believe in empowering women to be self-sufficient. Because the greatest recipe you will ever have in anything you do - is YOU. And more importantly, I believe in Joyce (the founder) and her unwavering devotion to capturing the story of African food through the lens of culinary curators and enthusiasts; to a global audience like no one else has. She’s the best person to navigate this vehicle of empowerment to impact generations now and in the future.

This is a fantastic program that will help empower, provide support and give hope to the women of this cohort. I’m excited to watch the ladies grow and learn first hand from Chef Jay. Chef’s drive to see women excel at every level provides a model these ladies will look up to. The tools learned in this program will not only give them structure in the kitchen but translate to real life change as well.
